Gold Work

In contrast to traditional gold work embroidery, creative gold work gives the opportunity to work with metal threads in an experimental ambitious and enterprising way, whilst remaining true to good technique.

What types of metal threads can be used for gold work?

Metal threads such as purls, pearl purl, passing, rococo, twist, bullion, spangles, flat worm, plate both broad and whipped, and more, can be worked in a revolutionary and innovative way, whilst introducing new threads and materials, and still engaging the same techniques and methods.
