Traditional Silk shading and Gold work techniques
Class Description
Learn traditional silk and gold work techniques in the form of a traditional cross, learning all the basics of both techniques over two-days.
Learning will include smooth silk shading, gold work couching and purl cut work, along with all the padding techniques worked on linen fabric.
The class will start from 10am with tea, coffee and refreshments served throughout the two days.
Please bring lunch, or there are a number of places to find lunch in Durham City!
Requirements
The cost of all materials are included in the cost of the two-day course, and a hoop can be loaned for the day.
Bring with you your basic sewing kit and thread scissors, and enjoy the two days!
